SoftBank Vision Fund Reports $4.2B Quarterly Gain

SoftBank's Vision Fund segment swung back to profit driven by valuation gains in AI-focused portfolio companies.

SoftBank Group's Vision Fund investment arm reported a ¥630 billion gain for the December quarter, reversing losses from the previous year as AI-related portfolio companies saw significant valuation increases.

Son Masayoshi highlighted investments in generative AI infrastructure companies as key performers, with several portfolio companies raising new rounds at higher valuations.
